Sixth Season: 2019-2020

The theme of the 6th season was “Celebrating the Feminine Creative Force,” focused on the powerful creative spirit of women composers in two thematic concerts. The first program, with a performance on October 25, 2019, presented works around the topic of “Traditions Today,” featuring connections between iconic composers such as Stravinsky, Debussy, and Beethoven and their influence of living women composers Joan Tower, Jennifer Higdon, Thea Musgrave, and Judith Lang Zaimont, as well as representatives of new generation of women creators, such as Christina Spinei. Many of these composers have received the most relevant national and international recognitions, including Pulitzer Prizes, Guggenheim Fellowships, and Grammy Awards. Regrettably, the second concert was canceled due to the pandemic. We will inform you when we can reschedule its repertoire!
